Hi, I’m Ivy 👩🏽🎨🌴🌊
I received a degree in Communications from Ateneo de Manila University, however, my design and visual art skills are all self-taught. In 2015, after 4+ years in the industry, I quit my advertising job as a Senior Art Director and spent half a year in New York City to take short courses in design and branding at the School of Visual Arts. Since then, I have taken on my own path as a self-employed graphic designer and visual artist working with various brands both locally and internationally. When it comes to creativity and art, my foundations are: authenticity, curiosity, imperfection, play. I believe in learning, evolving, and celebrating the process no matter where you are in your creative (or life) journey.
(Also, from a wider perspective: I'm in this industry because I care a lot about this earth, and I believe in the huge potential of brands, businesses, and creativity in general to influence people and change lives for the better.)
Outside of my art and design practice, you can find me indulging in one of my many hobbies and interests — being in nature, scuba / free diving, traveling, open-water swimming, hiking, playing the guitar, camping, cooking, marine conservation, and cuddling with my dog, Lily. 🐶
